Former India skipper, MS Dhoni attended CISG unit ASG Chennai’s session on Tuesday, April 11. The CISF’s officers gifted the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), skipper with art pictures and a photo frame of MS Dhoni. The 41-year-old international cricketer took part in planting a mango tree named “Dhoni” and lauded the CISF’s professionalism and effectiveness in providing smooth security at airports.

The Chennai Super Kings are, presently, ranked fifth in the points table in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League season after winning two of their first three games. While Dhoni hasn’t yet scored a significant score, he has made cameo runs that have been extremely important for his side. This season is often known as the last season for Thala but he has not yet made an official statement about this.

He has led the Yellow Army to four IPL championships and two Champions League titles, and if this were to be his final season of cricket, he would like to lead CSK to victory one last time.

Need to bowl according to the conditions: MS Dhoni

At the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Monday, the Chennai Super Kings defeated the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 12 runs to win their first home game of the Indian Premier League 2023.  After the match, he said that the CSK bowlers should have to stop bowling no ball and less wide balls or else they will be playing under a new skipper.

“Fast bowling we need to slightly improve. Need to bowl according to the conditions. What is important is to keep an eye on what the opposition bowlers are doing. One more thing is they’ll have to bowl no no-balls or extra wides, or they’ll have to play under a new captain. It will be my second warning and then I’ll be off,” Dhoni was quoted as saying during the post-match presentation.

“I thought it will be much slower. It was a wicket where you could score runs but overall it got a bit slower. We’ll have to see how it plays over the next six games at home but hopefully, we can score here. Even if it’s on the flatter side, force batters to hit over the fielders.” he asserted on the pitch.
