Former India cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP, Harbhajan Singh has accused the office bearers of the PCA of engaging in illegal activities. Notably, the former off-spin bowler hasn’t named any officials. He has written a letter to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Notably, Singh is a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAM) alongside Mann and Kejriwal.

Meanwhile, talking about the letter, the two-time World Cup winner has accused the members of the PCA of ‘Malpractices’. The 42-year-old claims that these members are trying to induct 150 new members with voting rights. Harbhajan has pointed out that this is been done to tilt the election in the favor of the existing top officials.

“The crux of the matter is PCA is trying hard to induct 150 members with voting rights to tilt the balance in their favour and these inductions are being done without assent of apex council/general body or without consulting the Chief Advisor (Singh),” he wrote in his letter .

“Therefore, these are against BCCI constitution, guidelines of PCA and violations of transparency and ethical norms of the sports bodies.

I had no option but to write a letter to the CM of Punjab and PCA members: Harbhajan Singh

In the letter, the Chandigarh player expressed his displeasure over the illegal activities inside the association. He alleges that the members are not organizing any formal meetings to hide their illegal activities. Singh went on to say that the activities need to be stopped immediately.

“To hide their illegal activities, they are not organizing formal meetings of the PCA and are taking all decisions suo moto which serve their selfish motives,” he further wrote.

“Today, I was told that they have already taken membership subscription amount from 60- to 70 people. The process needs to be stopped immediately. I had no option but to individually write to the members and also inform the Chief Minister.”
