Harbhajan Singh heaps praise on KL Rahul for his match-winning knock against Australia in first ODI
Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has applauded KL Rahul for his match-winning knock in the first ODI against Australia. Coming to bat at number five, the latter played a steady knock after early wickets and guided his team to a five-wicket victory.
This was knock was also important for Rahul looking at his current form in international cricket. The right-hander hasn’t been in great touch with the bat for the past few months. He was dropped from the playing XI for the last two Tests against Australia. KL was also removed from the vice-captaincy last month when the ODI squad for the series was announced.
Meanwhile, Singh took to social media to appraise Rahul for his splendid knock. The former also mentioned Ravindra Jadeja who remained unbeaten with Rahul as India chased 189 runs after a disastrous start. Along with Jadeja, the former Indian cricketer also praised Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj for their great bowling.
“Bola tha na bandhe mai hai Dum well done @klrahul good to see you scoring runs and winning the first odi for team India 🇮🇳 way to go 👍 Top stuff Jadeja with the ball and bat… well bowled @MdShami11 @mdsirajofficial @imjadeja.” Harbhajan wrote on his Twitter.
