Harbhajan Singh, Mohammad Amir get involved in a heated Twitter banter
Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh and left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir got involved in a heated Twitter battle post Pakistan’s famous win over India in the 20-20 World Cup. The win was special as Pakistan managed to break their 12-game losing streak against India in the World Events.
Amir took a dig at Harbhajan by posting an old video of him where Shahid Afridi smashed the off-spinner for four sixes of four balls. Amir trolled Harbhajan by saying that conceding four sixes off consecutive balls is a bit too much in Test cricket.
Harbhajan was not going to back down and gave an apt reply to Amir, reminding him of the spot-fixing scandal in the Lord’s Test in 2009 for which Amir was handed a five-year ban. “Lords mai no ball kaise ho gya tha ?? Kitna liya kisne diya ? Test cricket hai no ball kaise ho sakta hai ? Shame on u and ur other supporters for disgracing this beautiful game” tweeted Harbhajan.
Amir in his next tweet stooped low and started using derogatory language. Harbhajan didn’t take the words lightly and replied, “For people like you @iamamirofficial only Paisa paisa paisa paisa .. na izzat na kuch aur sirf paisa..bataoge nahi apne desh walo ko aur supporters ko k kitna mila tha .. get lost I feel yuk talking to people like you for insulting this game and making people fool with ur acts.”
In his last tweet, Harbhajan posted a video of him smashing Amir for a six in the Asia Cup. He gave a fitting caption to the post and wrote, “Fixer ko sixer.. out of the park @iamamirofficial chal daffa ho ja.”
