Harry Brook Reveals Hilarious Security Arrangements In Pakistan
After a gap of 17 years, England came to Pakistan for playing a seven-match T20I series. On 20 September 2022, both teams locked horns in Karachi for the series opener. Speaking of the match, Pakistan failed to make a winning start to the series. England won the match by a margin of six wickets.
For England, Alex Hales scored 53 runs off 40 balls, including seven fours. Apart from him, Harry Brook scored 42* runs off 25 balls, including seven fours. Both these players were instrumental in chasing the target in just 19.2 overs. However, after the match, Brook revealed the security arrangements they are having in Pakistan.
“Even when I go to the washroom, someone is following me” – Harry Brook
While speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Harry Brook said that the security is even following him in the washroom. He said: “It is funny to say this actually. Every time I go to the toilet, I’ve got somebody following me. I’ve never really had that before but it has been good, it feels secure.”
This hilarious statement showed that the Pakistan Cricket Board is so strict with their security. They do not want any unwanted situations during this series with the touring team’s players. Speaking of the match, Jos Buttler did not play the match. In his absence, Moeen Ali was the captain. He won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first.
While batting first, Pakistan scored 158 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. Rizwan scored 68 runs off 46 balls, including six fours and two sixes. Apart from him, Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed scored 31 and 28 runs respectively. For England, Luke Wood took three wickets by conceding 24 runs in four overs. In response, England completed the chase with four balls and six wickets to spare. Harry Brook scored an unbeaten knock of 42 runs off 25 balls, at a strike rate of 168. Now, both teams will meet again on 22 September in Karachi for the second match of the series.
