Hector calls out BGMI devs, demands proper anti-cheat
Popular BGMI Streamer and former esports player for Team S8UL, Sohail “Hector” Shaikh, have now expressed his frustration through a post on X regarding cheaters in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI).
While cheaters are nothing new in video games, be it online or offline, games that have an esports or competitive community suffer a lot more as it only ruins the gaming experience and compromises the community integrity creating other problems like false accusations.
In his post, Hector asks his fans and fellow players about the need for a proper anti-cheat in BGMI. He reveals that even outside competitive matches, there are hackers everywhere, in all three classic matches he faced hackers who eliminated him making him miserable in a game he loves.

Players have been facing issues since the BGMI comeback
This is not something new, in-fact players have been facing cheaters since the game made a comeback a few months ago. During the official BGMI tournaments, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGIS) 2023 and the BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2023 several teams were eliminated after they were caught cheating.
Many teams were cheating by simply letting others play on their accounts during qualifiers, while others were using triggers to make recoil easy and in some extreme cases various forms of hacking.
Hector did not mention what kind of hackers he was facing but looking at the post, it is very likely someone using triggers or full-on cheats like aim bot and wall hacking. His fans also spoke in support, saying there is a need for better anti-cheat.
Players who are even playing for fun can stop playing and move on to other games if they face cheaters constantly. That’s why it should be one of the highest priorities for game developers to implement an efficient anti-cheat.
