Sarfaraz Khan got a call-up for the National Team for the India vs England 2nd Test. Finally, his dream came true. The 26-year-old Mumbai batter went on to claim that Musheer is a better batter than him.

Sarfaraz even claimed that he learns a lot from his younger brother. Musheer missed out in the match against Bangladesh where Maruf Mridha dismissed him. Against Ireland, he scored a hundred, he also scored a magnificent half-century against the United States of America (USA) next match.

“He’s a better batter than me. I’m not saying this because he’s my brother. Sometimes, I may be struggling, but watching his technique and trying to work out what he’s doing would give me confidence. His mannerisms, and bat flow are very good. Sometimes when I’m not batting well, I look at him and learn,” Sarfaraz told ESPNcricinfo.

“If I batted 300 balls, Musheer would bat for 300 balls even if he’d done a lot of bowling. Our middle brother, Moin, would do the throwdowns. Having two cricketers in the house, he decided to switch to training,” he added.

Musheer is currently third on the list of leading run-scorers in the ongoing edition of the U19 World Cup

Earlier, Musheer said that he and his brother have similar batting techniques. Sarfaraz said that Musheer plays the reverse sweeps better than him. In 3 matches, the prolific right-handed batter has scored 194 runs at an average of 64.66 and a strike-rate of 64.66.

The 18-year-old batter took the task on his shoulders to take India to the top spot in the ongoing Under 19 World Cup. He is hammering his second ton in the tournament against New Zealand. It is a proud moment for his older brother too.

Sarfaraz Khan received his maiden call-up after KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja got injured. The Indian Cricket Board took his name for the rest of the series against England. Earlier today, his father said thanks to the Indian Cricket Board for, having faith in his elder son Sarfaraz Khan.
