Hyderabad FC extends contract of youngster Abdul Rabeeh
Hyderabad FC winger Abdul Rabeeh has been awarded a contract extension with the defending champions of the ongoing ISL 2022-23. The extension has been given till the 2025-26 season as announced by the club on January 24. Rabeeh joined the team in the summer of 2021. He had an impressive Durand Cup under coach Shameel Chembakath, as per an ISL press release.
The rising player was promoted to the first team after this impressive stint. He was a part of the first team that won the ISL in the 2021-22 season. The ongoing season has gone well for Abdul with two crucial assists in 11 league appearances. Notably, Rabeeh was also a regular in the Reliance Foundation Development League (RDFL) 2022 as a reserve player.

After getting the extension, the youngster expressed his pleasure. He said that he is happy to be part of the club and the teammates are a family. He added that he aims to become better and hopes to be an important part of the plan. Abdul further added the Hyderabad fans are really caring and show a lot of love on social media.
“I am really happy to be a part of this club. We are all a family here and we help each other improve and learn every day. I aim to become a better player and hope to continue being an important part of the plan,” said the 22-year-old, after signing the contract extension.
“The fans at Hyderabad are really caring. They show their love on social media and I hope they will also show up in numbers to push the team in the stadium,” Rabeeh added.
