‘I can go and slap him’ – Former India skipper discloses how he will deal with Rishabh Pant post latter’s recovery
Rishabh Pant has been battling with injuries since his near-fatal accident on December 30 last year. On the day, he sustained multiple injuries and has been going through various operations. Meanwhile, former India skipper Kapil Dev has an interesting concept on how he will greet Pant. The 1983 World Cup-winning skipper started by saying that he wants to see Pant recovering from the after-effects of the accident.
The former added that he will slap the left-hander, Rishabh, and ask him to take care of himself. Dev also mentioned that because of the accident, the India team is in tatters and how much he is angry at Pant. The former all-rounder further added that youngsters make this kind of mistake (referring to Pant’s accident).
“I have a lot of love for him. I want him to recover so that I can go and slap him and tell him to look after himself. Because of your accident, the entire team is in tatters. I love him but I am also angry at him. Why do such youngsters of today’s times make such mistakes? There should be a slap for it.
“First blessings, that he gets all the love in the world, may the almighty give him good health. First that, but after that, like parents have this responsibility to slap the children if they make mistakes,” said the iconic cricketer.
