On January 4, the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024, which will be played in the West Indies and the USA was announced. Unlike last year, when the schedule was announced only two months before the ODI World Cup 2023, the upcoming tournament is six months away. The venues have been finalized and the fans can plan accordingly to buy tickets or travel to the American continent.

Meanwhile, as expected, India and Pakistan have been put in the same group of the first round, i.e. Group A consisting of 20 teams. As the teams have increased from 16, the format has seen a change from Super 12 to Super 8. In fact, Super 8 has made a comeback after the 2012 edition, won by West Indies. Talking about the India-Pakistan game, it will be played on June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.

As reported, the stadium will be renovated into a turnkey state-of-the-art modular stadium. As the United States of America is hosting its first Cricket World Cup, it will host the first 16 games of the tournament across three cities – Lauderhill, Dallas, and New York. After this, the rest of the games will be shifted to West Indies, which has hosted the ODI World Cup 2007 and T20 World Cup 2010.

India’s group schedule at T20 World Cup 2024:
