Currently, the India Cricket team is gearing up for the 20-20 World Cup 2022 starting on October 16. India’s campaign will begin exactly seven days later. On that day, the Men In Blue will play arch-rival, Pakistan in Melbourne. Recently, the Indian team won the warm-up game against the Western Australia XI in Perth. A day after the game, the players have had a day out.

In a few pictures posted by former skipper Virat Kohli, the players were seen traveling to a few spots in Perth. Notably, they were celebrating all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s birthday. On October 11, 2022, he turned 29 years old. On the occasion, the players were seen chilling ahead of the high-octane tournament. The images were posted by Kohli on his Instagram account.

Talking about the Indian team, they will play two more Warm-up games against Australia and New Zealand on October 15 and 17 in Brisbane. Rohit Sharma’s men will be looking to fine-tune their preparations for the main event. At the moment, the team is struggling in the death bowling department. Harshal Patel’s form has been a concern for the team.

Since his comeback, he has been thrashed by Australia, South Africa, and the Western Australia batters. The team is already missing the services of Jasprit Bumrah, who has been ruled out due to a back injury. Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s bowling in the death overs is also a concern. Currently, left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh looks like the only answer to bowling in the slog overs. However, he would need a partner at the other end to keep things smooth.

The game against Australia and New Zealand will be a perfect opportunity for the Indian players going into the tournament.
