 Announced! Complete schedule of Indian Cricket Team for next 6 months

The Indian T20 League 2022 might have ended but the grind for the Indian Cricket Team continues as they have a packed schedule ahead. It is pertinent to note that India are likely to play at least 25 T20 internationals before the start of the ICC 20-20 World Cup 2022.

During the next six months, India will be playing against teams like South Africa, England, Australia, West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Ireland. Besides, they will also participate in Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in England.

First up, India are set to play a 5-match T20I series against South Africa at home, scheduled to be held between 10th and 19th June 2022. A lot of senior players have been rested for the series and KL Rahul will be leading the side. Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the vice-captain.

India are also set to travel to England for 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is, and 1 re-scheduled Test from last year. As per reports, the team will depart for England on 15th June 2022. Add to that, a second-string side will play T20 internationals against Ireland and VVS Laxman will fill in as the coach. Impressed with Hardik Pandya‘s captaincy, the selectors are looking to give him the charge for the Ireland series.

India will then tour to West Indies to play a limited-overs series in late July. The schedule for the series is yet to be announced officially. After playing in West Indies, India will return to Sri Lanka to play 2 T20 internationals and then participate in the Asia Cup 2022. India will play 5 T20 internationals in the league stage of the tournament.

Rohit Sharma and Co. will then play a series against Australia before going down under to play the ICC 20-20 World Cup 2022. Here’s a look at the complete schedule:
