5. Axar Patel’s 74 in the second Test
The India all-rounder came to the rescue after the team was reduced to 139/7 in reply to Australia’s 263 all-out. Patel scored 74 runs in just 115 balls including nine fours and three sixes. His innings and his partnership with Ashwin helped the team reach 262 all-out.
With only a lead of one run, the Aussies crumbled on the Day Three morning as they were bowled out for 113 runs. The 2021 Test Championship finalists won the game by six wickets and have retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
