After having a disaster Asia Cup campaign in UAE, India will now look for better preparations for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup. But, before that mega tournament, India will play a three-match T20I series against Australia on home soil. The series will start on 20 September. While it will end on 25 September only. However, Indian selectors announced the squad for this series on 12 September 2022. After that, India will also play a T20I and ODI series against South Africa.
Speaking about Australia, they are coming from two ODI series victories over Zimbabwe and New Zealand respectively. Against Zimbabwe, they won the series by 2-1. But, against the Kiwis, they won by 3-0. Now, they will tour India for this T20I series. Australia announced their 20-20 World Cup squad on 1 September 2022. However, David Warner will not come to India. Cameron Green will replace him. But, Warner will be a part of the World Cup squad. Meanwhile, it will be a huge test for both teams ahead of the 20-20 World Cup later this year in Australia.
