Indian World Cup winner backs Suryakumar Yadav in midst of poor ODI form
India’s middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav had a forgettable series with the bat against Australia. During the three-match ODI series, he bagged as many golden ducks. In the first two games, Yadav was trapped lbw by Mitchell Starc in an identical manner. In the last game, the ball was kept low while playing against Ashton Agar. While the right-hander has been bashed by the fans, Yuvraj Singh has backed Yadav.
The former India player took to Twitter and mentioned that every sportsperson goes through ups and down. The left-hander added that Surya is a quality player and will play an important role in the 2023 ODI World Cup. The tournament will be played in October-November this year.
“Every sports person goes thru ups & downs in their career! We’ve all experienced it at sum point. I believe @surya_14kumar is a key player for India & will play an imp role in the #WorldCup if given the opportunities. Let’s back our players coz our Surya will rise again,” he tweeted.
