International Women’s Day special: Tribute to women who made India proud
Sportswomen have always made India proud. Irrespective of their sport, there have always been several female athletes who have managed to succeed at the highest level. As March 8 is celebrated as Women’s day, we shall be taking a look at some Indian sportswomen who have made the nation proud.
1) Mithali Rai:
Mithali Raj is arguably one of the greatest female batters of all time. She has consistently been scoring runs for quite a while now. She has served India for almost two decades and in the process, has led the nation as well. Raj is the only female cricketer to score over 7000 ODI runs.

2) PV Sindhu:
PV Sindhu is one of the biggest female athletes in India right now. At a young age, she has already gone to accomplish several feats. She has won two Olympic medals and is the only Indian to become the Badminton World Champion. She has also won a silver medal each at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and 2018 Asian Games.
