Mary Kom is well and truly an inspiration. Not many have achievements as much as her. She started her iconic career by winning the silver medal at the World Boxing Championships in 2001. She grabbed the headlines for winning the bronze medal during the London Olympics in 2012. She is a six time world champion.

4) Avani Lekhara:
When it comes to Paralympians, Avani Lekhara is one of the finest India have. She is currently ranked second in Women’s 10m Air Rifle standing SH1. Lekhara also happens to be the first Indian woman to win a Paralympic gold medal. During the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic, she won a gold medal in 10m air rifle standing and a bronze medal in 50m rifle 3 positions.

5) Saikhom Mirabai Chanu:
Saikhom Mirabai Chanu recently grabbed the headlines as she made the entire nation proud. It was during the Tokyo Olympics where she won the silver medal in the 49 Kg weight category, lifting 202 Kg (87+115) (including both snatch and clean & jerk). Earlier, she had also won a gold medal in Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018 as well. Thus, she became a sensation.
