IPL 2024: Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani extends warm welcome to Hardik Pandya on his return
Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani was grinning ear to ear after her team acquired Hardik Pandya on Sunday evening. The 30-year-old Indian all-rounder came back to the team that put him on the cricketing map and helped him achieve great success.
The news was confirmed on Sunday that Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans had successfully conducted the biggest trade in IPL history. As per reports, Mumbai has paid over INR 15 Crores to bring back the 30-year-old Indian star.
Once he made his move back to Mumbai, Pandya thanked the Gujarat Titans teams and its fans. The Indian all-rounder also posted a message speaking about the love he has for the Mumbai Indians fans on social media.
Nita Ambani has her say on Hardik Pandya’s return –
The entire Mumbai Indian fan base was happy at the return of Hardik Pandya to the team. Nita Ambani who is the owner of the team was the happiest at the purchase of the Indian all-rounder on Sunday.

The Official Twitter handle of Mumbai Indians posted a statement from Nita Ambani which read “We are thrilled to welcome Hardik back home! It’s a heartwarming reunion with our Mumbai Indians family! From being a young scouted talent of Mumbai Indians to now being a team India star, Hardik has come a long way and we’re excited for what the future holds for him and Mumbai Indians!”
There was another statement and this time it was from the scion of Reliance Industries Akash Ambani himself. Seeing Hardik back at Mumbai Indians makes me very happy. It is a happy homecoming. He provides great balance to any team he plays. Hardik’s first stint with the MI family was hugely successful, and we hope he achieves even more success in his second stint,”
Rohit Sharma is slated to lead the side as there are speculations that Hardik Pandya will be given the captaincy next year. On Sunday, the five-time champions released Jofra Archer, along with Riley Meredith, Jhye Richardson, and Chris Jordan. Some of the young Indian talents like Hrithik Shokeen, Ramandeep Singh, and Sandeep Warrier were let go on Sunday evening.
