Ireland vs India, T20I Series: Few players to watch out for, check out all the details of the Series
After drawing the five-match home T20I series against South Africa, India is gearing up for the two-match T20I series against Ireland, starting on 26 June 2022. As KL Rahul was injured and Rishabh Pant had joined the Test squad for the Test against England, Hardik Pandya had been appointed as the captain of the Indian T20 side. Bhuvneshwar Kumar had been appointed as his deputy for the series.
Young players have been added to the squad and some players like Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh will be eager to perform. These players will look to strengthen their case ahead of the mega event later this year in Australia.
Players to watch out for from both the Teams
India
Rahul Tripathi
Rahul Tripathi had a fantastic Indian T20 League once again for his Hyderabad franchise. While batting in the number three position, he played some crucial knocks for the franchise in a consistent way.
He scored 413 runs in 14 matches at an average of 37.54 with a strike rate of 158.23. He was also tipped to get selected for the home T20I series against South Africa. But, he did not as he is now being picked for this away tour of Ireland.
Umran Malik
Umran Malik is the new pace sensation for India as he bowled some fearsome deliveries throughout the latest edition of the Indian T20 League. He picked up 22 wickets in 14 matches for his Hyderabad franchise.
Former cricketers like Dale Steyn got impressed with his pace as he was tipped to play for India very quickly. He was selected for the South Africa series also but did not get a single match there. Now, he is expected to get a game in Ireland under the leadership of Hardik Pandya.
Ireland
Paul Stirling
This veteran Irish batter will be on the radar of the Indian bowlers as he is known for his explosive batting abilities. He is enjoying a good run of form in the ongoing Vitality Blast 2022 for his franchise.
Paul Stirling had a decent T20I career for his country so far. He played 102 matches where he scored 2776 runs at an average of 29.84.
Andrew Balbirnie
Andrew Balbirnie, the Irish skipper, is another batter who can play a crucial role against India. He had also a decent career in T20Is for Ireland.
He smashed 1429 runs in 67 matches at an average of 24.22. He will look to lead from the front by playing in the number three position for his team.

Two matches will be conducted in this series. One will be on 26 June (Sunday) and the other will be on 28 June (Tuesday). Both the matches will be played in Dublin at 9:00 PM (IST).
