The 20-year-old Bangladesh young bowler, Tanzim Hasan Sakib has got the eyes of the cricket fans and exports after his stellar performance against the Indian cricket team in the super four stage of the Asia Cup, 2023. Tanzim took two valuable wickets in his debut match by dismissing the Indian captain, Rohit Sharma and the debutant Tilak Varma.

The debutant Tanzim Hasan Sakib impressed everyone with his striking bowling debut, but he failed to make an impact in the public after his recent post went viral about women.

Tanzim Sakib’s misogynistic remarks have left the cricket fans in shock, especially when Bangladesh’s prime minister is a woman. Before making a debut for Bangladesh, Tanzim Sakib posted an ideology on his social media account, which went viral after his debut as a gain recognition and fans started to go through his profile. On his Facebook account Tanzim posted, “If the wife works, the husband’s rights are not ensured. If the wife works, the child’s rights are not ensured. If the wife works, her elegance is damaged. If the wife works, the family is ruined. If the wife works, the veil is ruined. If the wife works, society is ruined.”
Tanzim Hasan Sakib received a huge backlash over his comments from not just cricket fans but famous feminists and activists as well. A Paris-based, feminist writer highlighted the fact that most of the Bangladesh cricket jerseys are made by women in the factories, and added, ““I feel sorry for you that you don’t consider your mother a normal human being.”
Many famous activists pressurize, the Bangladesh cricket board to investigate and look into the matter while asking Tanzim Sakib to delete the post and apologize for his remarks. The Bangladesh cricket board cricket chief officer Jalal Yunus said, “The issue came to our attention. We are looking into the matter.”
