Virat Kohli is the highest-run getter in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022
Meanwhile, the former India skipper is the highest-run getter in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. He played his first 20-20 World Cup 2022 way back in 2012 in Sri Lanka. In that tournament, his unbeaten half-century against Pakistan is the most memorable innings from the tournament. In 2014 and 2016, the right-hander was the highest-run getter of the tournament.
During these editions, the Men In Blue qualified for the final and semi-final respectively. Only last year, he couldn’t do much with the bat even though he carried his good run against Pakistan in the history of the tournament with another fifty against them. The team failed to qualify for the semis after 2012. This time around, things have changed drastically as the 2007 winners are set to qualify for the final. On the other hand, Kohli is averaging 220 and has scored as many runs in four games. He got out only once in the tournament so far.
