Jimmy Neesham Gives A Savage Reply To A Fan Trying To Troll Him On His Indian T20 League Record
James Neesham is one of the greatest all-rounders for New Zealand in the shortest format of the game. The player surprisingly has an interesting strike rate of 165.85 in the T20I format. However, James Neesham has not been emulating the same in the Indian T20 League.
The star player scored a quick 34 off 11 deliveries in the match against West Indies in the ODI series and helped the Kiwis chase down a total of 302. The innings forced a lot of former greats and current players to look at James Neesham as a proper aggressive batter.
A fan took a dig at the player on Twitter asking why he’s not able to emulate the same energy in the Indian T20 League. “why don’t you perform in Indian T20 League like you perform in International games…” the fan asked. The New Zealand all-rounder was quick enough to revert back at the fan.
“I probably wouldn’t perform well in international cricket either if I played one game a year,” James Neesham replied. “Also… everyone trying to act like this tweet is bodying someone or trolling someone. Literally, everybody in elite sport knows continuity of role is important. It’s just sometimes the situation doesn’t allow it and players just have to try to make do. It’s nobody’s fault,” he tweeted further.

James Neesham’s record in Indian T20 League
James Neesham’s record in the Indian T20 League is not up to his standards. The 32-year-old represented the Rajasthan franchise in the 2022 edition of the Indian T20 League and did not fare out to be well. In two matches that he played, the all-rounder amassed only 17 runs overall. In the 2020 edition of the Indian T20 League, James Neesham represented the Punjab franchise and played only five matches. The Kiwi star represented the Mumbai franchise in 2021 and failed to shine there as well.
One has to admit that James Neesham has not been able to give his very best in the league. However, in the international arena, he is up and running for his nation.
