Jonny Bairstow Gave A Deadly Stare To Virat Kohli After Scoring A Hundred At Edgbaston
The historical rescheduled Test match is ongoing at Edgbaston between England and India. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah led India while England asked them to bat first after winning the toss. While batting first, India put up a mammoth score of 416 runs, thanks to two special tons from Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja. They both put up a record-breaking partnership of 222 runs for the sixth wicket on day one.
In reply, Jonny Bairstow continued his dream run with the bat once again as he smashed another hundred in the match against India. He played his shots and reached to hundred in some style in Birmingham. Despite losing quick wickets, Bairstow managed to stick around, and now, he scored his third consecutive hundred in the last three matches.
Jonny Bairstow gave a stare at Virat Kohli after his hundred
On day three of this match, Jonny Bairstow had some heated exchange between him and Virat Kohli. Former Indian captain sledged him and asked him to do his job. However, his sledging did not work in India’s favour as Jonny Bairstow smashed another hundred in his career.
It had been found that while celebrating the ton, Bairstow gave a stare at Virat Kohli while the Indian batter was seen clapping for him. Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag took his Twitter account and blamed Kohli for making Bairstow angry. Notably, before that sledging incident, he was batting at a strike rate of 21. However, after that, he batted at a strike rate of 150.
Here is the tweet:
