‘Kisi ko nahi chhod raha hai ye’ – Fans go berserk after former Indian batter made a confusing statement about MS Dhoni

The skipper of the Chennai franchise, MS Dhoni has already started his preparation for the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League. This is considered the last outing of Dhoni in Chennai Jersey. Chennai will take on the defending champions Gujarat in the opening match of the season in Ahmedabad on March 31st.
However, former Indian batter, Gautam Gambhirhas made a big statement for Dhoni which didn’t go well with his fans. The mentor of the Lucknow franchise said that Dhoni can bat better than anyone else in the ‘nets.’ This statement got a mixed reaction from the fans.
“When it comes to IPL, no one bats better in the nets than MS Dhoni,” said Gambhir as reported by CricToday.
Dhoni to lead Chennai for one last time
Dhoni didn’t have a great time with the bat for the Chennai franchise since his retirement from the international cricket. But, also on a few occasions, he has finished the games for Chennai by standing till the end.
He led the franchise to the title four times in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. However, Chennai didn’t have a great outing last season as they finished at ninth position on the points table. Ravindra Jadeja took over the captaincy after Dhoni decided to step down. But the latter had to renounce his decision following the series of losses and took back the responsibility mid-season.
Ben Stokes is expected to replace Dhoni as the skipper in the near future. Chennai bought Stokes in this year’s auction for a big amount of INR 16.25 crore. Unfortunately, the English will miss the final few games for Chennai in the upcoming season to prepare for the Ashes and Ireland Test.
