Several people from India commemorated Holi ahead of Tuesday’s fourth and final Test against Australia in Ahmedabad. The BCCI’s official Twitter handle posted a video of Indian players, including captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and many other players, celebrating Holi with colours; the video from the Indian Cricket Board came after many players had already posted short videos from the team bus showing India stars indulging in wild Holi celebrations.

How did Rohit put colours on Virat Kohli during the team’s Holi celebrations?

In the clip, Rohit Sharma leads the way by applying colours to his teammates and members of the support staff. As he strolls towards the team bus, Rohit notices Virat Kohli and encourages the other players to do the same. Rohit was heard saying “Virat ko laga, laga, laga (Apply colour on Virat!,).”

The fourth and final Test of the four-match Test series for the Border Gavaskar Trophy is set to begin on Thursday (a day after Holi) and India leads the series 2-1. Previously, India was humiliated in the third Test of the series against Australia and is going to be looking to make a strong comeback in the final Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The Australian trio of Nathan Lyon, Matthew Kuhnemann, and Todd Murphy unsettled the Indian batting order across both innings of the Test.

India leads the series 2-1, but a win in the final Test is required to qualify for the Test Championship final, which will be held at The Oval from June 7-11. If India fails to win the final Test, their chances of making the finals will be determined by the outcome of the two-match Test series between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. If Sri Lanka wins the series 2-0, India’s chances of making the finals are over.

Australia already qualified for the tournament final after winning the Indore Test last week. The side will once again be led by Steve Smith in Ahmedabad, as Pat Cummins is unavailable due to a family commitment.
