‘Last hope for Pakistan, Suryakumar Yadav’ – Fans troll Indian top order as they collapse against South Africa’s pace attack

India and South Africa are locking horns n the Super 12 game of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Perth. At the toss, the Men in Blue decided to bat first on a lively wicket at the venue. The India skipper Rohit Sharma didn’t specify the reason for batting first on such a wicket.
“No particular reason,” Rohit said at the toss. “It’s a good surface and we know what to expect here. It was a good prep but now it’s game time. We want to come out here and do what we have been doing. Sometimes you can get carried away or your energy is low but you have to stay calm.
One could reason that Pakistan and the Netherlands played at the same venue and the wicket might behave differently. However, by the looks of it, there aren’t too many changes in the wicket. Moving on, India’s decision bac-fired badly as they lost five wickets for 49 runs.
Suryakumar Yadav is the only hope for Indian and Pakistan fans
After losing five wickets for 49 runs, Yadav has carried his good form and is rescuing the 2007 winners. Not to forget, the Pakistan team and its fans also want Rohit Sharma-‘s men to win this game to keep their semis hopes alive. This situation may give the reader a Deja Vu. Remember the 2019 ODI World Cup when Pakistan needed India to beat England to keep their semis hopes alive? England won the game making it difficult for Pakistan to reach the semis. Coming back to the game, Lungi Ngidi wreaked all sorts of havoc and took four wickets.
Dinesh Karthik and Yadav stitched a partnership of 53 runs with the latter doing most of the scoring. After scoring six runs off 15 balls, Karthik lost his wicket. On the other hand, Yadav scored 68 off 40 balls and got out in the penultimate over. India scored 133/9 at the end of the innings at the time of writing. The Pakistan and Indian fans will be hoping for Indian bowlers to come to the party.
