‘Lowest point in Ayushman’s career’ – Fans react to Ayushman Khurrana taking guard as Sourav Ganguly in biopic
Ayushman Khurana set to do the biopic on Sourav Ganguly.
The famous producers Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg are set to make a biopic on the Indian cricket legend, Sourav Ganguly. The most interesting part of the biopic is the cast. It is confirmed that the biopic will be played by Ayushman Khurrana. Ganguly’s biopic is the most anticipated movie of the year for all the cricket fans.
After the cast announcement, fans are even more excited to see Ayushman as ‘Dada’. Ganguly has always been known as an aggressive player and his term in the Indian team has a lot of stories involving his anger and rage. Thus, fans are waiting to see him play the character.
As Ayushman is a left-handed batter, he is considered a perfect person for the role. Thus, before the movie starts, Ayushman is expected to go through months of cricket coaching. The movie shooting will start in the second half of 2024. Director Motwane had passed on the movie to someone else because of his other commitments. However, he did return to production but the reasons are still unknown.
‘I prefer Kohli to bat at No.3’ – says Suresh Raina
As the debate about Virat Kohli opening for India in the T20I is on the rise, former cricketer Suresh Raina has discarded the idea. While talking to the media, Raina clearly said that he would prefer Kohli to play at No.3 than open. He also gave an example of Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly’s pair. According to Raina, maintaining the left-right combination will help India in the long run. Additionally, Raina is an expert with the JioCinema and Sports18 network.
“I prefer Kohli to bat at No.3 because if Yasasvi plays, he will open with Rohit because of that left-right combination. We have seen in the past when Gambhir and Sehwag used to play or when Sachin and Dada (Sourav Ganguly) used to play. And it is not just because of the combination, they are both attacking batters. With Kohli at No.3, India’s line-up looks more solid,” said Raina.
