The franchise named Al-Ittihad had offered £150million in exchange for Salah. However, the owners of Liverpool rejected the offer of the team from the Saudi Pro League. It is almost confirmed that Salah would continue to play for Liverpool.

Salah has been a regular in Liverpool over the years. the fans have showered a lot of love for the African Footballer. Liverpool understands it and hence came up with a long-term deal with Salah. Last year, a long-term deal happened between Salah and Liverpool which is for the welfare of the club and the star. However, some reports claimed Salah accepted the trade option.

Reacting to the same, the league’s director of football, Michael Emenalo, has given his opinion. Speaking to Sky Sports News, Emenalo said that players like him, Messi, Ronaldo, Benzema, and De Bruyne can ensure their availability. He added that Salah is happy in Liverpool. Emenalo felt that they did not want to put pressure on the Egyptians.

‘We don’t want to come across as putting any pressure on him’ – Michael Emenalo

“Mo Salah, like Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, these are players that when there is a sense of availability for them, we are willing to listen. But we also understand that Mo is happy where he is at present and in a historic, wonderful club at Liverpool. We respect that very much and we don’t want to come across as putting any pressure on him,” said Emenalo.

Emenalo added that they would not be missing an opportunity to miss a player of Salah’s class if he wishes to join them. “But if there is any interest to do something, Mo Salah is a player that you want in your league, in any league. We respect Liverpool and, in this scenario, the initiative to do anything won’t come from us. There has to be an aligned interest from all parties involved,” added Emenalo.
