The former Pakistani all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has made a Tweet frustrated by the current situation in Pakistan on Wednesday, 25th May. Hafeez has never minced his words while taking stands on various matters. Once again, the former all-rounder did not shy away from expressing his frustrations with the unavailability of basic needs in his country. He tweeted on Wednesday stating that petrol is not available in gas stations and also a shortage of cash in ATMs.

Hafeez’s tweet read- “No Petrol available in any petrol station in Lahore??? No cash in available in ATM machines?? Why a common man have to suffer from political decisions?”

Meanwhile, Pakistan is suffering political tension at the moment. The country witnessed clashes between Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)and police on Wednesday. Notably, PTI is the party of Pakistan’s ousted Prime Minister Imran Khan. The police charged baton, fired tear gas, and detained supporters from reaching Islamabad to bring the protests under control. The protests were in demand of fresh elections.

Pakistan to play a white ball series against West Indies

Notably, Hafeez has already retired from international cricket and hence won’t be a part of the team for the home series against West Indies. Pakistan will be playing a three-match ODI series against West Indies on the home soil. The three matches will take place on 8, 10, and 12 June. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a sixteen-member squad for the series.

Babar Azam will be seen leading the team while Shadab Khan has been named as the vice-captain of the team. Notably, Khan is coming back after recovering from an injury in the series. The PCB released a statement regarding the West Indies squad, which read – “Babar Azam will continue to lead the side, while Shadab Khan, who missed the Australia ODIs due to an injury, has returned as vice-captain.”’
