Mohammad Hafeez Takes A Dig At Ravichandran Ashwin’s Exclusion From India’s T20 Playing XI
On 4 September, India took on Pakistan for the second time in this year’s Asia Cup. After winning the first match against them, India was looking to win the match again. But, Pakistan managed to win this time around by five wickets. However, in recent weeks, former Pakistan skipper, Mohammad Hafeez spoke about Rohit Sharma’s body language.
He claimed that Rohit’s body language was weak prior to the Hong Kong game. Now, he again came up with some funny comment on Ravichandran Ashwin’s exclusion from the Indian Team in recent Ind-Pak matches. He also shared the same video on his Twitter account.
Here is the shared video:

In the 2014 Asia Cup, Shahid Afridi hit two sixes against Ravichandran Ashwin to win the match for Pakistan
Speaking of the video, Hafeez shared the video with a caption: “Why Ashwin not playing regularly in recent past #PAKvIND matches. Credit to @SAfridiOfficial Boom Boom master strokes in #AsiaCup2014.”
The conversation seemed funny to all the available people in the show and he came up with such a statement. Former Pakistan player, Rashid Latif was also present there. Hafeez said that Afridi hit two sixes against Ashwin in the 2014 Asia Cup. Thus, Pakistan won the match. That is the reason why India might not fancy playing Ashwin against Pakistan anymore.
Speaking of that match, Pakistan won the toss and they opted to bowl first. While batting first, India scored 245 runs by losing eight wickets in 50 overs. In reply, Pakistan chased down the target in 49.4 overs. They won the match by one wicket. In that match, Shahid Afridi smashed two sixes against Ashwin in the last over. He remained not out on 34 runs off 18 balls, at a strike rate of 188.88. However, Mohammad Hafeez was the player of the match for his all-around show. He took two wickets for 38 runs in nine overs. While chasing, he also scored 75 runs off 117 balls, including three fours and two sixes.
