India’s star cricketer Mohammed Shami once again showed his lethal form in the ODI World Cup 2023 against New Zealand on October 22 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. Notably, the Black Caps had a wonderful start to the game; however, the right-arm pacer took a 5-wicket haul in his first game of the ODI World Cup 2023 and reduced New Zealand to just 273 runs in the given 50 overs.

The Gujarat Titans star’s best delivery came when he dismissed all-rounder Mitchell Santner and great bowler Matt Henry on consecutive deliveries during the play. The strong visiting sides posted 273 runs owing to flabbergasting performances from Daryll Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra in the game.

The right-arm pacer got the nod as the replacement for Shardul Thakur in the game. India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s injury made his way into the squad along with Mumbai Indians star Suryakumar Yadav in the clash against New Zealand.
