‘Moment hai bhai’ – Fans react as Sarfaraz Khan makes his debut for India in third Test match against England

Sarfaraz Khan, Mumbai batter has finally made his Test debut after a long wait. Ahead of the third Test match against England in Rajkot, Anil Kumble handed the Test Cap to Sarfaraz. As he got the Test Cap, his father Naushad Khan got emotional and was not able to hold back tears.

For the third Test match against England, India has given two players Test debut. Dhruv Jurel is the other player who is making his Test debut, and he received his Test cap from Dinesh Karthik.  He has come in the place of KS Bharat as he is struggling to get runs under his belt.

India won the toss and opted to bat first as the pitch provided a batting advantage. There was hope in the Indian cricket camp as two debutants make their way into the Test team. On the other hand, India has dropped Axar Patel and KS Bharat for the third Test match.

Sarfaraz Khan has made a big name in Ranji Cricket

Sarfaraz Khan has made a big name in Ranji Cricket and has played some good knocks in the IPL as well. He has played in 45 first-class games and has smashed 3912 runs with an average of 69.85. He also has 14 centuries and 11 half-centuries to his name.  He played an impressive knock against the England Lions for India A. In the first unofficial Test match against the England Lions, he scored a fifty. In send Test match, he scored 161 runs as India won the series 2-0.

He received the Test call for the second Test match but had to wait as Rajat Patidar was chosen over him in the second Test against England in Vizag. As Virat is not able for the whole series and KL Rahul unavailable due to fitness issues Indian team management has gone for Sarfaraz Khan putting an end to his long wait.
