MS Dhoni’s picture using bat with sticker of childhood friend’s sports shop goes viral

India’s former captain MS Dhoni has started practicing for the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a bat with a ‘Prime Sports’ sticker on it. The photo of Dhoni practising has gone viral as the sticker belongs to his childhood friend’s sports shop. He has started practising for the IPL which is starting in March. The IPL committee has not declared the tournament’s dates yet.

The speculations of Dhoni retiring from IPL have always surfaced on the Internet. However, the Chennai Super Kings Captain dismissed all these rumours and stated that he will play his last match in the IPL in Chennai. CSK will be looking to defend their title this year as they won their 5th title in 2023.

Overall, the IPL 2023 finals saw some interesting events when the match lasted two days. In the end, nobody expected CSK to win the match as they had lost all their best batters. However, destiny had some other plans for them. Ravindra Jadeja came to their rescue and scored 10 runs off the last two balls, leading CSK to their 5th title.

At a News18 India event ‘Chaupaa’, India’s Mohammed Shami was asked about the best captain and he instantly replied with Dhoni’s name. This shows the level of respect cricketers and the entire cricket fraternity have for him.

“Look, it is a tough question. These things start with comparisons, but you will say that the one who is most successful (is the best captain). So for me, it is MS Dhoni because no one has been as successful as him.”
