Mumbai unveil jersey for inaugural Women’s T20 League, check out all the features of iconic Blue & Gold outfit
The Mumbai franchise has unveiled their jersey for the first-ever season of the Women’s T20 League 2023, which will commence from March 4 onwards and will be played in Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. The Mumbai squad came together for their first-ever practice session on Saturday, February 25, led by their head coach, Charlotte Edwards.
Coach Edwards engaged the players in a fun interactive activity and met Indian players from the area. The former England player is well-known for her cricketing expertise, having played in 191 international matches across all formats. Devika Palshikar, the batting coach, was also seen interacting with the players during the practice session.
“Here’s to sun, the sea, the blue-and-gold of Mumbai. Here’s to our first-ever #WTL jersey and all she brings,” Mumbai wrote while unveiling the jersey. The jersey features a mix of blue and gold colours, with stripes of gold on the shoulders and sleeves. The jersey also has the Mumbai logo in gold on the left chest and the WTL logo on the right chest.

Sponsorships for the upcoming Women’s T20 League
Meanwhile, the Tata group has been announced as the title sponsor of the Women’s T20 League 2023. The Indian Cricket Board has also signed up with Dream11, CEAT tyres, and Amul as partners for the upcoming mega event. Dream 11 will be the Official Fantasy Partner of the WTL, while CEAT Tyres and the Indian Cricket Board have extended their long-standing partnership and will be the Official Strategic Timeout Partner of the WTL. Amul, the largest dairy company in the world, will be the Official Beverage Partner.
The WTL 2023 is set to feature some of the best Indian and international players, who will compete against each other in a total of 45 matches. The tournament is expected to provide a great platform for women’s cricket in India and will give players the opportunity to showcase their skills on the big stage.
