Number one Test bowler set to return for final Test against England in Dharamsala : Reports
The 30-year-old speedster Jasprit Bumrah from India is likely to return to the Test squad for the final Test in Dharamsala, against England. After a brilliant performance in the first three Tests, Bumrah was rested for the fourth Test in Ranchi due to workload management.
India will play against England on March 7 in Dharamsala for the final Test. After winning the Test in Ranchi India already won the five-match Test series by 3-1. Bumrah did not play that match due to workload management but there is good news for the fans, according to the report of Cricbuzz, pace wizard Bumrah might be back for the fifth Test.
Bumrah bowled a total of 80 overs in this series so far
Jasprit Bumrah is an absolute beast in this Test series against England. He took 17 wickets in this series. Even England skipper Ben Stokes and their coach Brendon McCullum praised India’s pace maestro. He received the Man of the Match prize in the second Test for his brilliant spell. He took 9 wickets in that match and conceded only 91 runs. After the second Test in Vishakhapatnam, Bumrah became the number one Test bowler.
Bumrah played a lot of crickets in the last 12 months. Indian Cricket Board did not want to take any risk. Before the 4th Test in Ranchi, the Indian Cricket Board made an official statement and said “Jasprit Bumrah has been released from the squad for the 4th IDFC First Bank Test against England in Ranchi. The decision was taken keeping in mind the duration of the series and the amount of cricket he has played in recent times”.
India will likely finish the Test series on a high note in Dharamsala. Middle-order batter KL Rahul is likely to miss the final Test of his injury too. According to medical reports, he is 90 per cent fit. Dharamsala’s track is known for pace bowling. If Bumrah comes, that will be a huge boost for Team India.
