Pakistan and Australia are playing a historic Test series in Pakistan. The significance of this tour lies in the fact that Australia is touring Pakistan after 24 long years. At Rawalpindi, the first test of the series was played, which ended in a tame draw as both the teams enjoyed the perfect batting conditions.

The second test match was hosted in Karachi. This contest was much more exciting than the first test. Australia put up a huge total of 556 runs in their first innings and then dismissed the hosts for a meagre 148 runs. In the second innings, Australia extended their lead to 505 runs and asked the hosts to chase a mammoth total. Pakistan were struggling at 21 for 2 when Babar Azam took his stance. The Pakistan skipper then played a gutsy and temperamental knock of 196 runs. This also turned out to be his highest Test score. With Rizwan’s century in the lower order, Pakistan managed to draw the second test. Notably, Babar’s 196 is the highest runs by a skipper in the fourth innings of a test.

During the second test at Karachi, some of the Australian players were seen taking up the job of the grounds staff as they bought out a hammer to level the landing area at the crease.

Australian test captain Pat Cummins was seen hammering the pitch on the fourth day of the second test. On the fifth and final day, it was David Warner in action.

The official Twitter handle of PCB shared a short clip of Warner hammering the pitch. The video soon went viral and caught Candice Warner’s attention (David Warner’s wife). She soon took a jibe at his husband resharing the Tweet.

Candice reshared the clip with the caption – “I wish @davidwarner would do this a little bit more around the house!!”

Candice’s Tweet was soon flooded with comments from fans. The fans started guessing whether the cricketer is good with household chores. The couple is quite active on the social media platform and is often share entertaining Instagram reels.

After the third and final Test at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, David Warner will fly off to India. He will be playing in the 15th season of the Indian T20 League for the Delhi franchise.
