‘Pakistan vese bih semis tak nahi jaane wala’ – Fans react as Pakistan to play in Kolkata instead of Mumbai if they qualify for semi-final of 2023 ODI World Cup
As the schedule for the 2023 ODI World Cup has already been announced, the excitement for the big event has reached its heights. Although it will be a major tournament for all the participating teams, the main focus has shifted towards the most anticipated match of the tournament between India and Pakistan.
The clash between the arch-rivals will be played at the largest cricket stadium in the world: Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Earlier, there were speculations that Pakistan may propose to change the venue for the clash against India. Notably, the India-Pakistan match during the 2016 T20 World Cup was shifted to Kolkata from Dharamsala due to security concerns.
The two semi-finals of the World Cup will be played in Mumbai and Kolkata. The first semi-final between No. 1 and No. 4 in the points table will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 15th, while Eden Gardens in Kolkata will host the second semi-final between no 2 and 3.
Meanwhile, the governing body has confirmed that if Pakistan qualifies for the top four, they will play their semi-final in Kolkata regardless of the position in the points table. Meanwhile, the hosts India will play their semi-final in Mumbai. However, if it happens to be the India-Pakistan semi-final, the match will take place in Kolkata. It is noted that Pakistan is barred from entering Mumbai after the terrorist attack in 2008.

If Bumrah is back in the odi team, and Arshdeep singh is included in the world cup team then only India can think of winning the world cup 2023 .
Shami and Siraj should be the spearheading pace bowing attack along with Bumrah or Arshdeep singh.— No_Casteism (@amitdubey1236) June 27, 2023
