Rafael Nadal’s sister Maribel appreciates Roger Federer for 30th anniversary of Halle Open
Former Tennis player, Roger Federer recently posted pictures with his father, Robert Federer at the Halle Open 2023. The 20-time Grand Slam champion was felicitated for his achievements at the event. The Swiss tennis player has a special connection with Halle Open 2023, as he has won a total of titles in his career. He played the first match in this tournament back in 2000.
The event started back in 1993 and Federer was invited as the guest of honor for its 30th anniversary. The 41-year-old was greeted by the fans at the event. Federer shared some of his pictures with his father on his Instagram handle with a caption: “Father/son trip to Halle. Great to be back for the 30th anniversary of the tournament @atphalle_official.”

Rafael Nadal’s sister, Maribel Nadal reacted to the post by commenting on the pictures posted by Federer. She showed her feelings for the legend with a couple of clapping hands emojis. Federer’s trip to Halle Open 2023 was a very memorable reminder of his legacy and personality, which he has left behind. He may have retired but he still remains an inspiration and a role model for millions of people around the world.
Federer opined that how his body was dealing with retirement and the likes of him taking part in the exhibition matches in the future. The former World No. 1 retired from international Tennis at the Laver Cup in September 2022 after a long struggle with his knee injury.
At the event, Federer asserted that his current state of the knee prevented him from taking part in the exhibition matches. He also stated that he was concentrating on his recovery and returning to fitness through a specific fitness routine. “If the body was in top shape, I would probably play a few exhibitions. I still go to the gym four or five times a week and try to get my body back into shape with my knee. That’s why I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything,” he said.
