In the first Test between Pakistan and England, the visitors won the game by 74 runs. After the win, the Three Lions were praised for their efforts given the fact they earned it on a flat wicket. On the other hand, the home side has been criticized after the game. After all, it is said that the team ‘asked’ for a flat wicket to suit their game.

However, they still couldn’t produce a result in their favor. Meanwhile, the PCB chairperson Ramiz Raja has praised the Ben Stokes-led side’s approach towards the game. He said that after the appointment of Brendon McCullum as the head coach of the Test team, England has done well. Raja added that the credit for the winning team goes to the head coach.

“The approach of the England team changed with the arrival of Brendon McCullum. The credit for the English team’s win goes to the coach,” Ramiz said during a ceremony at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad.

A new cricket will be seen in Multan: Ramiz Raja

During the ceremony, the 1992 World Cup winner promised that Pakistan will play a different cricket in Multan. The second game will be played in Multan from December 9.

“Pakistan team will compete against England in Multan. A new cricket will be seen in Multan,” he said.

Not to forget, the right-hander criticized the Pindi wicket too. He went on to say that the board is yet to crack the code of making a good Test surface.

“I have really not cracked the code regarding a Test match pitch, unfortunately. Absolutely (disappointed with this pitch). The reason why I’m stressing on drop-in pitches in Pakistan is because you’ll go to Multan and Karachi, and you’ll get a similar flavor. We don’t get bounce, it’s to do with clay, how we prepare a pitch – I don’t know what’s happening,” he said.
