After having a poor Asia Cup campaign, India is gearing up to face Australia and South Africa in two three-match T20I series respectively at home. Ahead of the 20-20 World Cup, these two series will be a huge stage to get prepared for the ultimate tournament. On 12 September 2022, the Indian selectors announced the final squad for the World Cup and these two series.

Speaking of the squad, young spinner Ravi Bishnoi failed to make an entry into the final 15-member squad. For that mega event, selectors went with him as one of the four stand-by players only. Even, though he did not get selected for any of the series against Australia or South Africa. Now, Bishnoi came up with a cryptic Instagram story ahead of the Australia series. The story went viral.

Ravi Bishnoi performed well in the one match he played in the Asia Cup 2022 against Pakistan

Speaking of the shared post, it read: “The sun will rise, and we will try again”. It seemed that he is looking for motivation after not making the final squad for the World Cup. He will look to try harder to get selected for future tournaments. Speaking of his performance in the Asia Cup 2022, he played one game against Pakistan.

Bishnoi bowled well as he took one wicket by conceding 26 runs in four overs only. On the other hand, Ashwin played two matches where he picked up two wickets only. Even, Bishnoi bowled at a better economy (6.50) than Ashwin (7.37). Still, for the next matches, India selected veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin instead of him.

Even, selectors went with Ashwin over him for the World Cup.  Speaking about Bishnoi’s career, he has played 10 T20Is so far where he took 16 wickets. However, India will kick off their three-match T20I series against Australia on 20 September 2022 in Mohali. The series will go until 25 September 2022.
