‘RCB ne chuna laga diya’ – Fans react as Pat Cummins and Travis Head become a part of SRH Squad for IPL 2024

Pat Cummins has recently made history as he became the most expensive buy for a team in IPL. Pat Cummins has been acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 auction on 19 December which is still being conducted at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai from 1 PM IST. After a constant battle of bids between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Pat Cummins was finally bought by Hyderabad for a historic price of INR 20.50 Crore. 

Cummins was previously opted out of the IPL 2023 season for workload management and was later released from Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the IPL 2024 auction who bought him for 15.5 crore. Pat had previously represented Kolkata Knight Riders in Delhi Capitals in the IPL and in the 42 innings, he has played in the tournament. Cummins bags 45 wickets at an economy rate of 8.54 as well as 359 runs. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad adds Travis Head to the squad ahead of IPL 2024

Sunrisers Hyderabad also made another historic bid in the first set of the IPL 2024 option as they bought the ODI World Cup 2023 match winner and Australian opening batter Travis Head for 6.8 crores with a battle of bids with Chennai Super Kings. With the Australian duo, Head and Cummins, Hyderabad also have good options for team captaincy.
