‘Really hope Rishabh Pant is ok’ – Cricket fraternity shocked after Rishabh Pant survives massive car crash

In what comes shocking news, India wicketkeeper batter, Rishabh Pant met with a near-fatal car accident. He was driving home from Delhi to Roorkee. According to the police, the left-hander was alone in his vehicle and met with an accident at 5:30 AM on December 30. The accident was severe that the railing of the highway was damaged and the Mercedes GLE was burned badly.

The police says that the nearby villagers rushed to the spot alongside the police. Pant was rushed to the nearly by hospital. Cops say that the former India U19 player sustained injuries in his forehand, a hand , and a right knee. However, the Delhi player was able to talk.

“Hearing a loud sound of the accident, nearby villagers along with the local cops, rushed to the spot and pulled him out of the car. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital from where he was referred to a major hospital in Dehradun,” said Swapn Kishor Singh, superintendent of police, Haridwar (rural), who was among the cops who rushed to the spot.

Rishabh Pant is luck to survive the accident: Police

Accrding to the police, the Delhi skipper in the Indian T20 League was lucky to survive the accident. After all, the car was turned into a ball o fire in no-time.

“Pant sustained injuries on his forehead, a hand and right knee. However, he is conscious and able to talk. The car he was driving was completely burnt. He is lucky to survive the severe accident.”

“It is likely that Pant fell asleep while driving because there was no fog on the road which could have affected the visibility. He has a cut on his left eyebrow and a ligament injury on his right knee apart from having bruises on his back.”

“The charred car has been taken away for further investigation. It is not known whether the airbags had opened or not because nothing is left inside to verify that. A probe is on,” said the officer.
