S1mple makes a return to competitive Counter Strike

After a recent hint of a comeback during the HLTV awards, Counter Strike’s goat Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev is back. While his return was expected, it did shock many people.

S1mple has been playing with NaVi since 2016 and has made a name for himself and helped the team win several tournaments. However, this time around, his return is with Team Falcons as a loan player for one month.

S1mple was on a break for the last few months and fans were wondering if he was done with CS for good. However, s1mple did reveal that he will retire, but not yet.

During his break from the competitive scene, he had plenty of time to check out the new Counter-Strike. Fans expect another great show from the CS legend with his comeback in the Falcons. He will be playing in the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Showdown.

Changes to Team Falcons

This change comes after a disastrous RMR for Team Falcons. S1mple will be replacing Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas who is benched due to performance issues after Team Falcons failed to qualify for the PGL Major.

Fans are also wondering about the AWPer for Team Falcons as they already have SunPayus. We may see both players in multiple roles, as s1mple is also pretty good with rifles.

The only question remains is what happens after the loan ends. Fans are hopeful that s1mple will return to NaVi. However, many fear that this might lead to a permanent spot in the team, especially when the NaVi roster is already set.

Furthermore, Team Falcons is a Middle Eastern base of esports organizations. It has been collecting top players across multiple games in its roster, like Infinity Stones. It will not surprise if they plan to bag in future.
