The much-awaited ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to kick off in the month of October at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, where the two finals from last year, England and New Zealand lock horns against each other. The venues for the knockout games, semi-final and final are yet to be announced. The final is set to be hosted by Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

India will play the first match of the mega event against Australia on October 8 at the MA Chidambaram, in Chennai. They will lock horns with arch-rivals, Pakistan on October 15, at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad. Due to the match between India and Pakistan on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, hotels in Ahmedabad are asking about Rs 50,000 per night due to high demand.

We too are getting inquiries for 24-48 hours stays in our hospital: Dr Nikhil Lala

Hospital authorities have stated there is a spike in inquiries from fans seeking a one or two-night stay at their facilities. The package offers the fans a lucrative and more cheap option. A ‘patient’ may remain with one extra companion thanks to the package, which usually includes meals. “Since it’s a hospital, they are asking for a full-body check-up and an overnight stay so both of their purposes are fulfilled, saving money on lodging and getting their health check done,” Dr. Paras Shah, Director of Sannidhya Multi Speciality Hospital in Bhopal was quoted as saying by Sportstiger.

“We too are getting inquiries for 24-48 hours stays in our hospital, particularly around October 15, as we also have a full-body check-up package. This is due to the upcoming World Cup India-Pakistan match that is scheduled on October 15. Like at our hospitals, the situation seems the same in other city hospitals too. So, we are thinking about coming out with other health packages,” the Hospital’s medical director, Dr. Nikhil Lala asserted.
