‘Sami Sami me toh mza aagya’ – Fans can’t keep calm after stellar opening ceremony of Indian T20 League 2023 in Ahmedabad

The 16th edition of the Indian T20 League got off to a spectacular start with an amazing opening ceremony at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is also the biggest cricket stadium in the World. The opening ceremony started with one of the most popular singers in the world, Arijit Singh who charmed the crowd with songs like Kesariya, Channa Mereya, and the current single, Tujhe Kitna Chaahne Lagey Hum.
Following Arijit’s performance, Indian actress Tamanna Bhatia dazzled the audience with some incredible dancing moves. Another beautiful Indian actress Rashmika Madanna was the penultimate performance as the crowd went wild after Tamanna. MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Jay Shah, Roger Binny, and Arun Dhumal were all invited to the stage following their performances.
Gujarat’s two-match winning streak against Chennai
The last season for the Gujarat-based franchise will always be remembered for the way Pandya’s all-around performance helped them win the championship in their debut season. In addition to receiving outstanding assistance from Mohammed Shami, Rashid Khan, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, and Shubman Gill, the all-around player led by example.
On the other side, Chennai had a disastrous start to the season under new captain Ravindra Jadeja, and the 34-year-old decided to leave the captaincy at that point. Dhoni was appointed as the captain once more, but it was too late as the Men in Yellow only managed four victories in their 14 games.
Gujarat have a 2-0 lead over Chennai in the head-to-head record in the cash-rich league. The Pandya-led side snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in their first-ever match. David Miller and Rashid Khan persevered in the final over drama while chasing 170 and gave them a three-wicket victory despite an early top-order collapse. They will look to continue their winning record against the Dhoni-led side this season as well. Meanwhile, earlier it was reported that Dhoni might miss the opening match due to a niggle, however, it didn’t happen as showed up in the opening ceremony and also included himself in the tournament opener.
