Sourav Ganguly shares his pride on the Indian T20 League
The Bidding war for the digital media rights of the Indian T20 League has been the main topic for the last three days. Big firms have submitted their names for the next cycle of 2023-27. It has been found that on Sunday, the final round of Bidding started and as things are standing, the Per Match value of this league in the e-auction has crossed the 100 Crore per match value mark.
Ahead of this e-auction in Mumbai, the Indian Cricket Board’s President Sourav Ganguly shared his pride in this league as it has been generating more revenue than the English Premier League. He also said that it made him so happy to see that his beloved games have evolved so much over the years.

Former Indian batter heaped high praises for this T20 League by stating that only fans have supported enough to this League until now. He also showed his gratitude for the unconditional love and support of the fans.
He said: “I’ve seen the game evolve, where players like me earned a few hundred and now have the potential of earning crores. This game is run by the fans, by the people of this country, and by the Indian Cricket Board, which was formed by cricket fans. This sport is strong and will continue to evolve. This league generates more revenue than the English Premier League. It makes me feel happy and proud that the sport I love has evolved and become so strong,”
As per the reports coming out of the Indian Cricket Board, it has been found that Bids have crossed the 43,000 Crore mark. Even, the Per Match value in the e-auction has crossed the 100 Crore per match value mark. It also ensures the 2nd Costliest Sports Property in the world bove Premier and Major league Baseball. This year four divisions need to be Bidded individually as companies like Sony, Viacom 18, and Disney Star are in contention.
