‘Thats a comeback for haters’ – Fans react to Rohit Sharma’s century in final T20I against Afghanistan

A comeback is greater than a setback. That’s what Rohit Sharma proved today. After two consecutive ducks in the two matches, Sharma has scored a beautiful century. His knock of 121 runs came in just 69 balls including 11 boundaries and huge eight sixes. Sharma’s brilliant innings came after India lost four early wickets starting with Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, Rinku Singh came to the rescue and helped Rohit play his game. Rinku too scored 69 runs off 39 balls.

Rinku’s innings gave Rohit the confidence to go on with his game. India put up a massive score of 212 runs on the board. This was only possible because of the batters’ fearless approach. Rohit’s innings started with a boundary. However, the on-field umpire gave it as leg byes and the runs didn’t get added to his name.

Utilising the Chinnaswamy pitch and the crowd’s support, India has posted a good target on the board. As Afghanistan’s batting is left, it will be interesting to see how they play in the second innings considering the pitch. If Afghanistan wins today, the series will end, 2-1.

Virat Kohli out for a golden duck

After making a comeback after 14 months in T20I, Virat Kohli scored a golden duck in the third T20I against Afghanistan. Even though the match was happening in Bengaluru, which is the second hometown of Kohli, he did make the crowd emotional, but not in a good way. People were shocked to see Kohli departing on the first ball. As he came into bat in the second over, the crowd were expecting a good innings from Kohli and a partnership from Rohit and him after a long time.

However, he shattered the dreams of the Bengaluru crowd as he departed for a duck. After Kohli, Shivam Dube and Sanju Samson also gave away their wickets in a short interval of time. Although Rink Singh and Rohit saved the innings, a responsible innings from Samson would have made the fans happy too.
