India and Australia are currently meeting for a 5-match T20 series After the conclusion of the ODI World Cup 2023 to prepare well for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 which will be conducted from 1ar June in West Indies and the USA. India has won all the two matches in the series by two wickets in Visakhapatnam and by 44 runs in Thiruvananthapuram.

India has rested their key players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Hardik Pandya from the series and has named Suryakumar Yadav to be the captain to lead the young side. India’s pacer Prasidh Krishna recently appreciated Suryakumar Yadav and highlighted some noteworthy similarities between his batting and captaincy style.

“I think it shows in the way he (Suryakumar) bats is very similar in his captaincy as well. He trusts his players, backs all of us to do what we want to do and he’s there right behind us to support if anything is going wrong. That’s been the name of the game and then that’s the word around freedom, go and execute your plans out there and everyone trusts each other in the team,” Prasidh Krishna told India Today.

“Being a part of the World Cup squad was massive learning for me. That’s the biggest learning curve I’ve had since I’ve been a part of the team. I got to learn a lot about the way people prepare the amount of information that you can take, looking at the surface, the situation, the condition, the batsman and all of those things,” he added.

Yashasvi Jaiswal on winning the second T20 against Australia

“It was really special for me. I was trying to play all my shots. Was trying to be fearless. I was sure of my decisions. I have been told by Surya bhai and VVS sir to go and play freely. I have been asked to express myself. For me, what I think I can develop and not think about anything else. I am still learning”, Yashasvi Jaiswal said in the post-ceremony after winning the player of the match award.

He further added, “It was my mistake in the last game and said sorry to Ruturaj. Accepted was my mistake. Rutu bhai is so humble and very caring. I worked on my fitness. I am trying to develop all my shots. The mental stuff is something I am working on. I believe in my practice sessions.”
