‘They are experts in embarrassing themselves always’ – Fans Troll Barmy Army After Their Cheeky Dig On India vs Pakistan matches

After defeating the arch-rivals Pakistan in the group stage, India locked horns again with them on 4 September 2022 in the Asia Cup 2022. However, India won the first match by five wickets. Hardik Pandya was the star of the match with his all-around performance. But, this time around, Pakistan managed to win the game by five wickets.

Speaking of the match, Babar Azam won the toss. Then, he asked India to bat first in this thrilling encounter. Meanwhile, before this match, India confirmed the unavailability of their star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja due to his knee injury. Hence, India made some changes in their playing XI. Interestingly, they went with Rishabh Pant ahead of Dinesh Karthik.

During India’s innings, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul gave India a quick start. They scored 50 runs in just 4.2 overs. But, Pakistani bowlers got two quick wickets to get back some momentum. Then, Virat Kohli came out to bat. He continued his good form in this tournament. But, he did not get any support from the other hand. Kohli scored 60 runs off 44 balls. But, India managed 181 runs by losing seven wickets in 20 overs.

In reply, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam departed early again. His lack of form with the bat continued in this game also. But, other batters chipped in with some crucial contributions. Rizwan batted brilliantly once again. He scored 71 runs off 51 balls. But, it was Mohammad Nawaz’s 42-run inning that completely turned the momentum in favour of Pakistan. Still, Indian bowlers showed some fight. But, Arshdeep Singh dropped a sitter of a catch. Pakistan managed to chase down the target in 19.5 overs. Thus, Pakistan won the match by five wickets. But, after the match, England’s Barmy Army came up with an interesting tweet. They wrote: “Ashes > India vs Pakistan anyway”. It seemed they tried to say that Ashes is greater than these India vs Pakistan matches. However, it did not go well with the fans as they started to troll them on social media platforms.
