‘This was some match’ – Fans Go Berserk As Australia Legends Win A Thriller Against Bangladesh Legends In Road Safety World Series
On 18 September 2022, Australia Legends took on Bangladesh Legends in Indore in the Road Safety World Series. It was the 11th match of the tournament. Coming to this encounter, Australia lost the first match. While Bangladesh also lost the first two matches. Hence, both teams were looking to register their first win in this year’s tournament.
Speaking of the match, Shane Watson won the toss and he asked Bangladesh to bat first. For Bangladesh, Mehrab Hossain and Nazimuddin came out to open the innings. But, they failed miserably as Bangladesh were struggling at 37 runs for three wickets in 4.2 overs. Then, middle-order batters tried to steady the ship for their country.

Both Alok Kapali and Nazmus Sadat scored 20 runs each from 20 and 26 balls respectively. Runs in Elias Sunny remained not out on 32 runs off 29 balls. He hit two fours and one six in his innings. His inning helped Australia to score 158 runs in 20 overs by losing nine wickets. Apart from Brad Hodge, all the other seven bowlers took one wicket each for Australia. In reply, skipper Shane Watson and Cameron White came out to open for Australia. But, they were also in a spot of trouble when they lost their fifth wicket after scoring 90 runs in 12.2 overs.
Then, Haddin came up with a blistering knock of 58* runs off 37 balls, including three fours and four sixes. In the last over, Australia needed 21 runs. Then, Haddin smashed one six and three consecutive fours to seal the deal for his team. For Bangladesh, Elias Sunny was the star performer with the ball. He grabbed four wickets in four overs by conceding eight runs only. Brad Haddin also became the player of the match for such a performance. With this win, Australia Legends are now sitting at the fifth position with two points from two games. On the other hand, Bangladesh Legends remained at the bottom of the table with three losses out of three games. Fans also went crazy after that enthralling finish by Australia over Bangladesh.
